This story is about a push/pull relationship between Eva and Gideon. Both are rich and both are an emotional train wreck. (they both need no one, but wind up not being able to breathe with out each other) There are similarities to this book and Shades. I thought this book had a more realistic storyline than Shades - which is a plus. (the romance was extremely intense) We were shown the basis of their attraction and how they fall in love, but not much of a climax in the book. There was also an abrupt ending to the book - but no cliff hanger! Thank goodness...bonus points. There was a lot of ground work here and hopefully the next book will be full of revenge on both Eva/Gideon's demons. I wanted to have more light shed on Gideon's story, but I will definitely be reading the next book to find out what happens. I love Cary. I wish I hadn't of read so many reviews and quotes, because I think I read all of the good parts/scenes in the reviews that I read. I would recommend this to Chess/Terrible fans who can't stay away from reading about relationship drama!
